Pineapple/Orange Gelatin Salad - Alice Kuhar's Recipes

PINEAPPLE/ORANGE GELATIN SALAD
Ingredients:
1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple
2 cans (11 oz each) mandarin oranges
1 pkg. (3 or.) orange Jello
1 pkg (3 oz.) pineapple Jello
Topping Ingredients:
1 cup reserved pineapple juice (If necessary add orange Juice to make 1 cup)
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
2 envelopes (1.3 or.) whipped topping
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Drain pineapple and set aside juice. Spoon drained pineapple and oranges into a 9x13-inch pan. Combine orange and pineapple Jello and prepare according to package directions; pour over fruit and refrigerate.
In a saucepan, combine egg, sugar, flour and reserved pineapple juice. Cook slowly, stirring constantly until bubbly and thick. Remove from heat and pour into a bowl, cover and refrigerate.
Beat whipped topping, milk and vanilla, according to package directions. Fold into cooled pineapple juice mixture and spread over gelatin - Store in refrigerator.
