OMELET POTICA
(Slovenian Omletna Potica) (by Cirila Kermavner) (From Pots and Pans Cookbook)

Omelet Ingredients:
4 cups milk

1 teaspoon salt
|
3 tablespoons sugar
|
4 eggs
|
2 3/4 cup flour
|
|
|
Omelet Directions:
Make a smooth dough from all the above ingredients. Let stand for at least 15 minutes. Make omelets, one by one, and place on a warm plate until all are done.

Filling Ingredients:
1 cup powdered sugar OR 1/4 cup granulated sugar
|
2 pkgs. (8 oz. each) cream cheese
|
2 eggs
|
1 cup sour cream
|
1 teaspoon lemon zest
|
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
|
|
|
Filling Directions:
Mix together filling ingredients.
Use a round, greased baking pan. Place omelets in pan alternating with some of the filling in between. End with top layer of an omelet.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 300 degrees. Brush top with a little melted butter.
